Role Title: Painter Apprentice

Department: Production

Reports to: Crew Leader


Overall Job Purpose

The Laborer/Painter plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality painting services are delivered to

clients. This includes preparing surfaces, applying paint or stain, maintaining clean job sites,

and supporting the team to complete projects on time and to company standards.


Core Responsibilities


Painting and Surface Preparation

● Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, or filling holes as needed.

● Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers, ensuring even

coverage and quality results.


Job Site Maintenance

● Keep work areas clean and organized throughout the project to promote safety and

efficiency.

● Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment and materials at the start and end of

each workday.


Team Collaboration

● Work closely with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.

● Follow instructions from the Crew Leader and adapt to changing project needs.


Adherence to Safety Protocols

● Use all tools, equipment, and materials safely and appropriately.

● Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies to ensure a hazard-free

environment.


Required Skills and Experience


Technical Skills

● Basic knowledge of painting techniques and tools; experience in residential or

commercial painting is a plus but not required.

● Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely and effectively.


Soft Skills

● Strong attention to detail to ensure quality results.

● Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.

● Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
